Youth Sporting 4 life - Sports England Grant

About our Sport England grant

We are absolutely thrilled to share some brilliant news MEaP (Making Education A Priority) has been awarded a grant of £14,500 by Sport England through The National Lottery’s Movement Fund. This funding will power our Sporting 4 Life programme, bringing free sport and mentoring to 60 young people in Manchester.

“This award means we can give young people in our community something truly special a place to move, belong, and grow.”

We know that too many young people in our city face real barriers to sport and physical activity. Whether it’s lack of access, lack of confidence, or simply never having been invited in we want Sporting 4 Life to be the door that opens for them.

What the Funding Will Make Possible

Thanks to this investment from Sport England and The National Lottery, Sporting 4 Life will deliver:

✔ 60 sessions over 20 weeks, three times a week
✔ Professional coaches running football, fitness and movement
✔ Mentoring support from role models and community figures
✔ Equipment, facility hire, and travel support for participants
✔ Healthy snacks and refreshments at every session
