MEaP at Ingeus Rise 2026 Progression Session (EIA)

MEaP at Ingeus Rise 2026 Progression Session: What is it about?
Following our initial Ingeus Rise 2026: Build Your Future” workshop in May 2026, MEaP returned to the Ingeus Manchester office on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, to host another session of our employability delivery series for the post-residential 18–24 cohort. Funded via Youth Futures Foundation as part of the Evidence into Action (EIA) programme, this progression session was specifically designed to help young people translate their recent residential experiences into tangible career evidence, clear goals, and direct action.
Building on our previous May workshop and the personal growth achieved during their residential trip, this two-hour interactive session focused on a core participant journey: I did it → I can evidence it → I can explain it → I can take the next step.
- Date: Wednesday 9 September 2026 (13:00–15:00)
- Venue: Ingeus Manchester office
- Audience: Ingeus 18–24 post-residential cohort (around 35-40 young people in attendance)
MEaP at Ingeus Rise 2026 Progression Session: Delivery Team and Responsibilities
This session was delivered in close partnership with key members of the MEaP partnership and coordination team as well as our delivery partners. Lead facilitators from Elevate Young Minds and Pathfinder Educational Limited, alongside our MEaP Coordinator, and our Session Worker from GIFT Academy guided the cohort through the agenda and provided tailored coaching. From recognising strengths to identifying gaps to career coaching, everry activity was designed to ensure every participant felt supported and roles were tailored strengths-first, within a fully accessible environment, with the support of our Ingeus partners.
MEaP at Ingeus Rise 2026 Progression Session: Delivery Agenda: “Your Next Move”
The afternoon maintained the tactile, engaging format that worked so well in May while increasing personal relevance and conversion into real-world steps. Through structured activities, participants worked towards key practical outcomes:
- Transferable skills identification allowed our young people to recognise at least three core skills (such as communication, goal-setting, or money management) demonstrated during their residential experiences.
- Applying the STAR method allow them to turn real challenges into concise Situation-Task-Action-Result (STAR) examples ready for job applications and interviews.
- Collaborating in groups to apply their problem-solving skills and design their perspective of the missing link to better employment pathways.
MEaP at Ingeus Rise 2026 Progression Session: Verdict & Impact
The feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive. Staff from Ingeus noted that we “smashed it,” highlighting how deeply engaged the young people were throughout the entire two hours despite the large room capacity of over 50 youths.
The session successfully generated focused, high-intent expressions of interest for our 16–24 opportunity pathways. Notably, three young people submitted direct expressions of interest specifically targeted towards enrolling onto the Elevate Young Minds programme. Demonstrating clear direction and enthusiasm for creative, production, and event-focused career routes, all three individuals explicitly selected Face Festival roles as their preferred pathway forward.
Next Steps
MEaP’s and its delivery partners’ priority now is to convert these targeted expressions of interest into individual action plans while momentum remains high. The MEaP coordinator and delivery team at Elevate Young Minds are following up directly to support these young people in enrolling onto their chosen Face Festival roles and kicking off their 30/60/90-day progression plans.
