Freelance Sports Coach
Organisation: Making Education a Priority (MEaP)
Reports to: Sporting 4 Life Project Coordinator
Location: Local park with multi-use courts, Manchester
Project dates: 15 September 2025 – 15 June 2026

Volunteer Role model or Mentor
Organisation: Making Education a Priority (MEaP)
We particularly welcome volunteers who:
- Reflect the lived experience of the young people we work with — including those from African, Caribbean, Asian, Arab, and Mixed Heritage backgrounds, those who have been NEET, and those who have moved through the UK education or asylum system as ESOL learners
- Work in or around the creative industries, digital and tech, education, social enterprise, or skilled trades
- Are confident communicators who can hold space, listen well, and meet young people where they are
- Can commit consistently for the duration of the role they take on
- Are willing to complete a DBS check and our safeguarding induction

Content Creator Volunteer Intern
Organisation: Making Education a Priority (MEaP)
Role Duration: 1-2 days/week for 4 weeks
Role Overview
The volunteer intern will contribute to MEaP’s communication and outreach efforts by creating engaging content. This role involves research, writing, and editing to produce high-quality blog posts, articles, and social media content.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop compelling content ideas aligned with MEaP’s mission and target audience.
- Write and edit blog posts and articles on education-related topics.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility.
- Assist with social media content creation and management.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to conduct research and gather information.
- Basic understanding of SEO and content marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interest in education and communications.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain practical experience in content creation and digital marketing.
- Gain digital skills and experience with the help of a managing coach
- Develop skills in research, writing, and editing.
- Enhance understanding of content strategy and audience engagement.

Volunteer Intern: IT and Digital Transformation Support
Organisation: Making Education a Priority (MEaP)
Role Duration: 2 days/week for 6 weeks
Role Overview
The volunteer intern will provide essential support to MEaP’s IT and digital transformation initiatives. The role will involve a combination of technical skills and project management support. The intern will contribute to maintaining existing software, enhancing cybersecurity measures, and supporting the overall efficiency of the organization through effective project management.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support:
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting existing software applications.
- Provide basic IT support to staff, including hardware and software issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal IT documentation.
Digital Transformation:
- Support the exploration of new digital tools and technologies to improve organizational efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital strategies.
- Contribute to the digitization of existing processes and workflows.
Cybersecurity:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures.
- Assist in identifying potential security risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to employee cybersecurity awareness training.
Project Management:
- Provide support to project managers on ongoing initiatives.
- Assist in creating project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of IT systems and software applications.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in technology and digital transformation.

MEaP Recruitment Process (We recruit year-round):
- Stage 1 – Application: Submit your application using the form below. Upon submission, you will see an acknowledgement message on your screen, thanking you and letting you know if your message is on its way to us. Due to capacity and this happening all year-round, we are not able to reply to every application. You will only hear from us if your application is successful.
- Stage 2 – Interview: Upon successful review of your CV, you’ll be invited to a 30-minute online interview. The online interview is conducted via Zoom. You will receive the details to join the Zoom meeting prior to its date.
- Stage 3 – Assessment: Following successful interviews, candidates proceed to our assessment phase where you will be set the task of delivering a 30-minute presentation online, in your field. For teaching candidates, this will be conducting a 30-minute online teaching session with a small group of our students. Valuable student feedback guides our recruitment decisions, culminating in the final stage of our process.
- Stage 4: We will contact you if you are successful in the 3rd stage of the process.
Each stage of the process affords candidates and MEaP the opportunity to assess compatibility and ensure a mutually beneficial partnership.
