Creating global citizens with local presence
With a catchment covering the whole of Greater Manchester, MEaP is a community-based supplementary school. We provide additional educational support for children attending mainstream schools, and young adults looking for a path to career success. We provide revision across the full curriculum of all core subjects for Key Stages 2 to 4 and secondary education (ages 9 to 19), as well as life skills and social action projects. For young adults aged 19 and over, we provide lifelong learning projects focused on starting and growing careers.

In response to the preventative measures such as social distancing taken by the government to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, we have transferred our face-to-face teaching to online teaching across most of our current provision. Working together
Understanding together
Achieving together
We know from research and our own experience that when schools, parents, guardians, families and communities work together to support learning, students tend to achieve higher grades, attend school more regularly, stay in school longer and enrol in further education.
So that’s what we do. We work as a community to give young people from ethnic and disadvantaged backgrounds a safe, disciplined and nurturing environment. We place particular emphasis on the cultural heritage of each and every student, making their learning personally relevant, engaging and rewarding. We welcome those who may be under-achieving and empower them to raise their expectations, achieve positive educational and emotional outcomes, and realise their full potential.
We give our students the education, confidence, resilience and capability to mature into global citizens with local presence.
High-quality, personalised teaching for better outcomes
Our specialised tutors provide revision in core subjects for all year groups, and teach in small classes that ensures personalised learning. Through our afterschool provision, we also deliver extra curricula social action projects and youth development sessions.
Our learning experience for children not only builds on their learning during the school week, but also provides core content that may be omitted at regular school due to the many constraints that teachers increasingly face.
MEaP teachers are also experts in overcoming the obstacles to learning that may exist in multicultural classrooms. We give our students the freedom to express themselves in a warm, friendly and secure environment. We grow emotional confidence as well as educational attainment. For pupils with learning difficulties, we create a positive, empowering environment where our research-based teaching strategies open up new learning opportunities.
